Books and Zauberball

Last week, we received two new titles hot off the Interweave Press. The first is japanese inspired knits by Marianne Isager. Beautifully designed, this book offers twelve patterns, one for each month of the year. It also features good explanations and schematics for the techniques used in the patterns, from colorwork to entrelac to double knitting.

The second new book that hit our shelves was the much-anticipated Sock innovation from cookie a. What a doozy of a book! So many gorgeous and unique socks!

And in an entirely coincidental but very timely manner, Zauberball has arrived. What is a Zauberball, you might ask?

It's a new sock yarn! It is 75% wool and 25% nylon with 459 yards on the ball, plenty for a pair. It knits up at 6.75-8 sts to the inch on US 1-3 needles. There are nine excellent colorways to choose from!
